This is a superb sounding true audiophile cartridge at a great value. If you want the absolute most out of your records, we confidently recommend the AT440MLa without reservation. The specs do not do this cartridge justice. It should play and decode the vast majority of quadraphonic records (with compatible HiFi system). It will lift the maximum amount of audio information out of the grooves to send into your computer for further processing to your taste. The AT440MLa really eliminates inner-groove distortion (this is not just audiophile hype). The plug-and-spin kit from Turntableneedles.com is convenient: if you need to buy a headshell as well as the cartridge, you can get both, at a modest savings, and the shell comes with the cartridge installed, so you are spared the difficulty of pushing those tiny pins into the correct sockets. |
