You will receive a genuine Audio Technica AT92E Pmount cartridge, complete with installation instructions, needle, hardware, mounting bracket, stylus cleaning brush and screwdriver.
Because this cartridge plugs directly into a rectangular socket at the end of the tonearm, it is known as a "T4P" Pmount cartridge. Other mounting characteristics are that it has no exposed wires in the back and is almost always found on a linear tracking turntable. Mounting Notes:
If your turntable is linear tracking it means the whole tonearm slides
several inches from side to side as opposed to the standard type usually designated
'straight' or 'S shaped' which pivots on a stationary 'hub' assembly at
the right rear corner of the turntable; this is called a "gimble"
mount. A linear tracking turntable will generally have buttons you must
operate to move the tonearm and will almost always
be found with a Pmount cartridge. This rule like many are made to be
broken. So there are several dozen turntables in existence that have a
standard "gimble" mount tonearm but require a Pmount/T4P cartridge. So,
the AT92 series of cartridges are generally found on linear tracking
turntables, Sometimes found on gimble mount tonearm, and can be forced
to fit almost any standard mount gimble mount tonearm with the included
bracket adaptor. Myth: Often people think they must have a brand of cartridge that matches their turntable brand. This is totally unnecessary and often impossible to achieve these days. In fact, the vast majority of turntable manufacturers, had a third party cartridge manufacturer make the cartridge on their behalf. Also cartridge wiring connections usually go straight to your amplifier, receiver or computer thus allowing the turntable to make no direct electrical changes to the cartridge output signal. I ordered this cartridge for a Realistic lab 2100 linear turntable in order to upgrade the original cartridge It has improved sound quality and channel separation significantly and made the turntable shine in terms of sound quality. I had to order from this company due to be unable to find any UK supplier. The speed of despatch and delivery was fast. Please note 20% vat applies to all orders over £15 plus an £8 Royal Mail international handling fee. |

It was a pleasure to find turntableneedles.com. I was very unsure how to go about reviving my 30 year old Sony PS-X600. It was missing a stylus and covered with dust and cobwebs. Google led me to turntable needles.com and in less than a week I was playing all those great 60's - 80's albums that had been neglected for so long. This website is terrific and loaded with all the hard-to-find phonographic components you may ever need. Plus, free shipping! |

This cartridge replaced the Technics P-Mount cartridge that came with my Technics SL-DD33 turntable. It was a one-screw, press-in installation.
This A.T. cartridge is excellent as was the service from this dealer! |
