Stunning late Developement: We ran across a stash of this older version of the AT440MLa cartridge. The AT440ML/OCC seemed to have some better specs. See the Difference. For those who want the best, we have a limited supply of this AT440ML/OCC. We don't know why the published specs are so much better on this older version, but we have to go by them unless we learn otherwise. Note: The AT440ML/OCC is out of production, the AT440MLa is current production.
This is a superb sounding true audiophile cartridge at a phemoninally great price. If you want the absolute most out of your records, we confidentally recommend the AT440ML/OCC without reservation. The specs do not do this cartridge justice. It will play and decode all manner of quadraphonic records. It will lift the maximum amount of audio information out of the grooves to send into your computer for further processing to your taste. The forums we found testified that this cartridge, still made in Japan, not China, will not disappoint!
