P-Mount DJ cartridge.
From the literature: " The stylus ... has been fabricated to a special large tracing radius elliptical geometry. This gives it a greatly improved response, particularly at high frequencies, and yet is gentle to the record groove during back cueing."
The L680EL cartridge is a P-Mount version of the Stanton 680EL.
From us: (Regarding OEM Stanton D6800EL) Yes this is a DJ needle which is also great for broadcast radio. It will work decently in a HiFi setup. DJ mostly means that it has a big fat strong cantilever so you can spin the record either direction. The cantilever is the little stem that sticks out of the white needle body housing down to the record with the diamond tip at the end. This needle has a bright orange dot right at the tip so you can see better exactly where the diamond is on the record.
