If you want an entry level cartridge just to get up n running, this is the one for you. This Cartridge has the most common mounting style, which is the 1/2" mount or standard mount. It is as cheap as they come, made in China, equipped with a carbuncle or sapphire LP speed tip (33/45), the replaceable orange needle will not last as long as a diamond tip. Probably 100 hours as with sapphire. See 'Related Products' below for a diamond tip that will upgrade you to 400-600hrs per needle.

We recommend this cartridge for the entry level user. Perhaps you are dusting off an attic relic after 20 years and the old cartridge is totally missing. This is the cartridge for you if you just want to play an album a week for fun. Or at an ocassional party, you get the idea. We don't recommend it for LP to computer transfer or anything beyond the very casual use.
