Excellent stylus!
Started with the AT120E stylus, then went up to the AT440MLa and now the AT150MLX. 440 was a giant leap over the 120 in detail and overcame inner groove distortion well. Only complaint I had about the 440 was that it picked up a LOT more surface noise than the 120. The 150 is the best of both worlds. Kills all inner groove distortion, pulls out more detail than the 440 and it's very quiet. Overall I'm very happy with the 150 and can't see myself stepping up from it any time soon.

Audio Technica AT150MLX Review
I mounted the cartridge onto a Pro-Ject RM5SE. Other cartridge used includes a Grado Reference Platinum and Sumiko Blue Point II. The AT150MLX is more detailed and far less surface noise compared to both. The Blue Point II being the closest to the AT150MLX in information retrieval. Very Sensitive to VTA, the sound will balance out when set correctly. Consider low capacitance loading. The cartridge offers full frequency response and presents the music as it was recorded and pressed.

For low-mass, light-weight tonearms!!!
After reading all the hub-bub about this cartridge for years, I ended up snagging it for my VPI Traveler. WRONG! This cartridge is indeed a leftover from the days when High Compliance and light tracking forces ruled. The VPI arm is too heavy for this cart so it bounces and springs at the slightest warp. Be advised, unless you have a low-mass tone arm, you are not going to want this cartridge. I ended up with an AT33EV and I give that one 5-stars!

I recommend to all lovers of good sound
I've used several MM cartridges at $150~$300, but none were close match to AT150MLX. Possibly a best MM cartridge at under $400. After a few hundred hours, I was unable to detect any significant stylus wear, leading me to believe that a properly set-up and maintained sample should have a lifespan of at least 1500 hours. A replacement stylus costs $209.95 , which strikes me as very reasonable. Thank you. P.S. Please forgive me for my english ...

Great price -- amazing performance!
Before I stepped up to the 150mlx, I was running the AT440mla on my SL1200. I enjoy the clinical accuracy of the Audio Technica carts, and the 150mlx really is significantly better than the 440mla. The 150mlx is more detailed, and provides much better instrument separation. After around 50 hours on this cart, I am very pleased with my purchase -- it has taken my sound to the next level. Highly recommended! (plus, turntableneedles got the needle to me next day b/c of proximity!)

AT150MLX
This is the finest sub-$2000 cartridge I have ever heard - simply stated. Nothing but the music, thank you, from subterranean bass to detailed but smooth-as-silk highs. Not a hint of harshness or distortion. This is not a high-compliance cartridge - use a medium mass arm for best results. A good tube phono-stage is a great match as well. Mine sits on an SME 3012 into a JE-Labs preamp. Like listening directly to the master tape!

Audio Technica AT 150mlx
Superb MM. The cartridge's ability to track everything you might throw at it never ceases to astound me. Light and airy with great shimmer and sheen and no false bass. I also own the cheaper version AT 440mla and while the 440 is very competent, some claim it a bit too forward or bright but make no mistake; where some claim the 440 may over extend itself, the AT150mlx does it all with grace, confidence and authority. Really plays down surface noise and eliminates inner groove distortion.

pure joy!
The AT150MLX is a true joy! I have about 10 hours on it now , and, it is just coming into it's own. It is a bit bright. As I'm listening though a pair of Bozak Symphony low boys, that was a benefit. If you have ribbon, or, similar super tweeters, you may benefit from a tube based phono stage to "warm up" the sound. 500 characters is not sufficient to write a comprehensive review.

AT150MXL
Very decent product, so far my only complaint is it's hard to judge where the needle is since there are no marks on the cart. Seems to track well, with good range of sound.

Audio Technica AT150MLX
I recently purchased a turntable from a friend that had a Linn Basik tonearm installed. I chose this Audio Technica because it has a reputation for both excellent tracking & sound. Another audiophile cartridge I already own is not known to track well in this arm. The Audio Technica tracks as reported and the sonic quality is excellent. The response is linear & the soundstage is spot on.

One of the Best Moving Magnet Cartridge Made
First off, kudos to Turntableneedles.com! They continue to provide exceptional service. Now to tha AT-150MLX. I've had cartridges that cost 3 times what this jewel runs. But the 150-MLX is the best moving magnet cartridge under $1,000 in my opinion. Tremendous tracking, nimble and very little surface noise. Digs deep and extracts so much. Balanced with a very nice soundstage. You can't go wrong with this winner. An incredible value.

Very good Cartridge!
Very nice cartridge. Improves sound enormous. Installation is simple although the manual is in Japanese only. The wires in the package are rather simple and of a weak construction.

AT150MLX None better for MM and price
I have 2 PL-560 TT and started off with the AT120E on a manuel Sansui SR-333 and was amazed at the clarity in old vinyl. I went to automatic PL-560 as they are decent auto tables and the cueing is a separate motor from the platter motor. My first auto TT went to a 440MLa which kicked butt. It was tempermental until VDF and anti skate was set properly. So the last high end and also back up 560 i ordered the AT150MFS. Only 6 hours. Once this cart breaks in will be even better.
