.: Audio Technica AT150Sa, AT-150Sa, AT 150Sa Dual Moving Magnet Phono Cartridge :.

This cartridge is discontinued. As of 2017, the current replacement/closest match is the Audio-Technica VM750SH below. As well, the current shibata tipped needle replacement is the VMN50SH.

The AT150Sa pairs a VM type dual magnet cartridge with a Shibata line-contact stylus for remarkable full-range audio reproduction with Excellent left/right channel separation. The cartridge’s lossless paratoroidal generator coil system features PCOCC (Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting) coils to ensure pure audio transmission with peak generating efficiency. A tapered aluminum cantilever provides a rigid yet lightweight platform for the stylus, while the cartridge’s die-cast metal body reduces unwanted vibration for clean, resplendent sound.

  • VM dual moving magnet cartridge with Shibata stylus delivers high-separation, full-range audio

  • Highly efficient paratoroidal power generation system reduces high-frequency loss

  • Lightweight tapered aluminum cantilever allows for faithful reading of the record groove

  • Die-cast metal body reduces unwanted vibration for high-quality sound reproduction

  • PCOCC (Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting) coil enables pure signal transfer

Very Nice Right Out of the Box
As a long time fam of the AT-150 MLX, I was skeptical about the new AT150sA. It took me awhile to pull the trigger on this purchase as I couldn't find many reviews/opinions on this new cartridge. After just a few hours of listening, I can say that I'm not disappointed whatsoever with the AT150sA. As a matter of fact, I really think I'm going to enjoy this cartridge even more the MLX. It has a warmer sound than the MLX. I'm eager to hear the sound progress during the burn-in.
