Decent Replacement Needle for Aging Cartridge

I used this needle as a replacement needle for my ATU4030LC cartridge on a technics SL-5 turntable. Its a nice vintage cartridge, but its strong point was its needle, a nude shibyata design. This needle is a roughly comparable replacement for a third of the cost of nude shibyatas. the sound frankly has not changed much with the change, and its decent quality. Would recommend to anyone looking to replace vintage cart needles.

Replacement Needle

Very happy I found this company. They provided excellent advice over the telephone, and installed the new needle in the part of the arm I mailed them. Great service and at a reasonable price. My old phonograph works great now.

Sony PS-FL1 Turntable

I was really worried about finding the right needle for my 30+ year old turntable. This is the model that fit into a shelf or cabinet and opened horizontally. A real "wow" factor in its time but also great sounding. The original needle was obsolete, but after reading about the replacement process on turntableneedles.com, I settled on the 212-DET and it is perfect for my application. Immediately installed it and began listening to my collection of jazz LP's. Awesome!

Nadel 212-DET

Ich nutze die Nadel im Zweitsystem um erworbene Schallplatten durch zu höhren. Diese 212-DET ist ein sehr guter Ersatz für eine originale abgenutze Nadel. Der Klang ist wie das Original meines AT-412 OCC. Um volle Abtastfähigkeit bei 315Hz und 50µm zu erreichen, reicht die Auflagemasse auf 1,8 Gramm (besser 2 Gramm) aus. Vielen Dank für die gute Qualität und die Lieferung auch nach Deutschland, gerne wieder.

212-DET stylus

I bought this as a replacement for an Audio Technica cartridge on a turn table my daughter inherited from her grandfather. I had it sent directly to her. She received it in a timely manner and was able to install it herself. When I visited her the table was working well and sounded great. Great product, great service and great price. Another vinyl convert. What more could you ask for.

Excellent value / quality

Bought this at the recommendation of the very capable tech staff here at Turntable Needles. Just email them - they'll fix you right up. This cartridge fits and functions like the original on my old linear tracking SL-5. Nice to hear vinyl again - just like I remember it.

Needle 212-DET

This replacement stylus was not the cheapest budget replacement but I thought I was buying a just get by needle to test lps. To my surprise I found the quality and fidelity was great after a very short break in period. Great product for the price.

Jico 212-DET for AT122EP Cartridge

The Jico stylus for AT122EP Cartridge arrived safely and quickly. This is an aftermarket stylus so I cannot compare it with an original, but it sounds good and tracks fine. I also purchased the AT92E (all original AT Cartridge) at the same time. When comparing the two I prefer the AT92E due to fuller bass response and slightly better clarity. Specs certainly reinforce that the AT92E should be a superior cartridge. 5 Stars for Service. 4 Stars for the cartridge/stylus when compared to the AT92E.

ATN-122EP for Audio Technica AT-122EP cartridge our needle 212-DET

As always this item arrived quickly and in fine condition. This stylus is a very good sounding needle and fits the cartridge body perfectly. I'm very impressed with the JICO line of replacement styli and recommend them highly. The AT 350 EP cart. this goes on, sounds good if not a little thin in the low mids. The upper end detail is very good and this stylus reproduced everything without imparting any distortion.
