good guy

In truth, I wanted to send a review earlier, but felt quite foolish because of the problem I had in distinguishing the difference between this and the "twin" brother--without the stylus guard. Kyle was quite kind; the difference was in the picture. The stylus got here in a hurry. (I had purchased a used Technics sl 1700 with the at12sa cartridge and a broken stylus. I used other cartridges on that deck but kept wondering about the 12sa.) Well, wonder no more. It is easily the best that I have--dynamic without being in your face and producing more detail than any other in the collection. Thanks for indulging an old man.

Audio Technica ATN12S Shibata Stylus

This product was definitely comparable to the original Audio Technics stylus. I believe I received a quality product and it was exactly what I was looking for.

201-DQX Jico Brand Copy

This stylus is fine, NO CONS. It replaces a very old original Audio Technica, and I was hoping for a big increase in Audio quality, and there is, just not as much as I thought there would be. Just goes to show what the build quality USED to be. I would buy again.

Excellent product

This directly replaced a genuine AT Shibata for a Sansui SV40X: the new stylus fitted perfectly and seems to be very comparable to the original. The only issue that I had was that the stylus guard sometimes just touched the LP - this was at about 1.8gms weight: I reduced that to 1.6gms and still had a slight problem; I removed the guard and all was well. The headshell seems to be parallel to the LP so I assume that VTA is about right. Other than that issue, this stylus sounds very good and I would certainly buy it again.

replacement stylus

Arrived Quickly, Replaces original perfectly,I've owned this cartridge since new. stylus was damaged a few years ago, found your site recently and decided to replace. the new stylus has all the transparency and fidelity that I've all-ways loved about this cartridge. Thanks!
