ATS12s BLISS Shibata needle for AT12s & AT12sa

You will receive a BLISS brand Shibata needle that replaces the
ATS12s needle for the AT12s & AT12sa cartridges or any cross reference listed below.
The genuine version has a SUPERior suspension system and a highly polished tip. We can see that the 'shine' of the diamond where it touches the groove is very smooth under the microscope. This translates to the longest life possible for the tip and your records as well as highly detailed musical clarity. The aftermarket copy kinda looks a little bit like an orange peel surface under magnification. The special cut is there, it is still far better than conical or elliptical but they did not spend as much time polishing the tip to be as smooth as possible.

Shibata needles have maximum contact with surface of the record, better than elliptical and conical tips.
QUAD channel needles are stereo ready but require a compatible record and receiver/amp to reproduce 4 channel sound.

Genuine Audio-Technica version is Out of Stock. We are now shipping the high quality BLISS brand Shibata version.

Also suitable as a Shibata/Quadraphonic upgrade for any needle shown in the Related Products section below that does not have a "Q" in the part number suffix. "200" & "201" type needles are actually interchangeable, the main difference being the 201 series has a flip-down stylus protection guard.

Old School listener
I've been looking for a replacement stylus for a couple years now and was greatly relieved to find a source for the "real" Shibata diamond stylus for the Audio Technica cartridge I have used for years. The service was great. I ordered on Saturday and received it on Tuesday. Pretty impressive, shipping from Oregon to Pittsburgh over the weekend yet. I thank you and my vinyl thanks you.

Refreshing an old favorite
The venerable AT12S once again sounds as good as I first remember. Without a microscope and a working knowledge of how a shibata stylus should look like the visual inspection is not a good indicator of stylus wear. If you're feeling less involved with the music you play, it may very well be a worn stylus. Although this JICO shibata is not genuine Audio-Technica, I'm loving my vinyl sounds once again. Highly recommended and the service is great!

Quad "stylis"
Great substitute needle for no longer avail. product. The price seems to be going up faster than a space rocket! The generic shell has no manufacturing logo/markings on it-Just have to trust turntableneedles to not sell "knock-offs.I first bought this needle in 2012/13 @87.00 now 147+ $$$.
