Be careful! there is much confusion and erroneous info on the webs regarding this body style and what part numbers to which it applies! Known as the "201 -DEM" in other circles, we have renamed/reclassified this needle the "201B-DEM" because it is NOT interchangeable (as originally implied) with universal aftermarket numbers "201 -DEX" and "201 -DQX". On top of all the confusion, the original and aftermarket productions are all out of production. Because this needle is no longer made, our senior tech has hand-crafted the unique substitution you'll need for your below listed cartridge. We strive to keep old body styles alive for several reasons. The main two reasons are that your old cartridge is still as good as new. Modern cartridges have advanced only slightly and said advances are only appreciated by a very small group of audiophiles. If you don't fall in that group, then replacing the needle is often easier and a better value is had by re-using your cartridge. Each Stylus assembly is hand finished in USA from global and USA-made components under magnification, then individually tested and tuned to ensure great playback.

I recieved my item within a few days and it works well. Installation instructions would have been helpful as this was an upgrade for my turntable. My turntable was purchased used and had no needle so I had to figure out how it attached. Appears to be a good product with good service.

201B-DE-copy

VERY SATIFIED CUSTOMER! I sent an e-mail with a pic of the needle & a gentleman named Kyle replied almost immediately with all the info needed to purchase the correct needle. I play my turntable 2 or 3 times a week & it sounds great!

Satisfactory replacement for OEM stylus

Glad someone still makes a quality stylus for my cartridge. Installation instructions would be nice. Installing the new stylus was easy but removing the old one was a challenge. Unlike many styli, this one is removed by pulling it down (hard).

Works for Me

This replaced an original AT stylus. The new one (needle and cantilever) is noticeably bigger than my original. I assume this is a bad thing since it seems perhaps it wouldn't be able to trace the record grooves as well. However, I haven't listened to the original one for a long time so I can't say whether or not there's an audible difference. The old stylus aside, this one works for me!

Works great for AT84EX

I have an Audio Technica AT84EX for which I have struggled to find any documentation. I had just bout given up looking, but www.turntableneedles.com showed this as a replacement. It fits and sounds great! Couldn't be happier.
