BLISS Shibata Stylus for Ortofon OM & SUPER OM Cartridges.

This is a quality BLISS brand SHIBATA diamond aftermarket replacement needle for basically any "541-D" Type BLISS™ Stylus on our site. It is designed for HiFi use not DJ. It is an economical bonded shibata diamond for the Ortofon Stylus 20, Ortofon Stylus 30, & Ortofon Stylus 40 needles shown in related products below. Sourced from our trusted supplier in Japan.

As a bonded SHIBATA, it will sound legendary in its own right when compared to original Ortofon styli.

Replaces: STY-3E STY-5E STY-7 STY-10 STY-14 STY-15 STY-20 STY-30 STY-40 and more.

NOTE: Because this needle is designed for use specifically with Ortofon cartridges, it can be found in numerous brands of turntables. In some cases the cartridges for this needle may be original equipment supplied with a new turntable, but was more likely selected at time of sale to complete a turntable sold without a cartridge or later as an upgrade to the original cartridge supplied by the turntable manufacturer. This needle should be matched primarily to the cartridge type not necessarily the turntable.

Ortofon generic 541-DSH-copy - WOW!!!

WOW! This stylus has a very tight full range sound stage and full of dynamics. I think that it sounds better than my OM-30 stylus. If you like the extended highs and tight focused bass sounds, this will go great with your Super OM. Did not try this on my standard OM, as it currently has the 541-DE-copy and I love it on my standard OM. Read my review for the 541-DE-copy, as it is still valid and sounds better with the standard OM. The 541-DSH-copy just sounds better with the Super OM.

541-DSH Copy for Ortofon OM Series

I am using this on a standard OM20 body. It has good detail and the transition from bass to treble is smooth without any one set of frequencies overly highlighted. Female vocals are clear with little or no sibilance. It plays right through on records that sometimes skip with other cartridges I own. I own several cartridges and this one with the 541-DSH replacement stylus is fast becoming my favorite.

Excellent stylus upgrade for a fraction of the price!

Upgraded from an Ortofon OM10 stylus to this needle. This needle, needless to say, is a very significant upgrade and cannot be beat for the price. Comparable styli, such as the OM30, cost at least twice as much. This stylus has worked perfectly, was super easy to install, and has given me no problems. The stylus was also shipped within 24 hours and arrived in a more than timely fashion. Would definitely do business here again.

Can also be used for...

I bought this stylus originally for a mount OM cart that I have. And yes a great upgrade. Surprisingly another use of this stylus is on an new Ortofon cart too such as the red, blue, orange and black. Simply take off the stylus and plug this in. So I'm running this on a bronze cartridge and effectively I have a black cartridge at around £150 cheaper :) Great stuff!

Superb replacement at a bargain price

An across the board superior replacement for the Ortofon OM/OM Super Series and variants (Apature, Digitrac, Dual--and probably more which are no longer manufactured.) Keep your old cartridge and replace the needle. In many cases this Shibata is better than the original stylus.

Excellent purchase

I have a Pro-Ject Debut with the stock Ortofon cart and wanted an upgrade without the hassle of replacing the cart. My newer LPs sound fantastic, and the issues of inner groove distortion are now non-existent. However, some of my older LPs in not-so-good condition sound awful with the needle getting deeper into the groove! That's the trade-off! :) Installation was a breeze, and mine fit quite snugly. Had to pay close attention to the tracking guidance though.

Very impressed

I have this on my OM10 Super cartridge. The sound is astounding. Much better detail and soundstage than the elliptical stylus I had prior. It also seem that there is less surface noise from the record. I also have a Shibata stylus on my Shure M97XE, which shows what a big fan I am of their performance.Great prices excellent customer service. I love that they offer a private label line of top quality stylus options.

New stylus

Had been using the stock Super OM10 for several months. Thought I could improve upon the sound. This new Jico stylus really is a great improvement over the stock stylus. The base is much clearer, the notes off the drums is present and heard very clear. Over all would not hesitate to tell someone to upgrade to this stylus.

Detailed

I immediately noticed more detail with this Stylus. I was listening to Emmylou Harris with her Christmas album, voice seemed to be in the room. She was in the room singing to me.

Shitbata stylus of Ortofon cartridges

Great clarity, more than the typical conical tip. I'd recommend it for anyone who might hear muddiness or sibilance in playback on certain vinyl recordings. In my experience the shibata tip resolved that issue. A person might hear a bit less low end however using this tip demonstrates a better "evenness" to the sound with good separation so long as the balance, tonearm weight and anti-skate on the turntable is properly set.

JICO Shibata

Got a used turntable, with an Ortofon TM20H cartridge. Didn't have a stylus, so I went for the JICO replacement. The stylus fits a little loose, but the sound is near perfect (even though it isn't broken in yet). I haven't heard the genuine replacement for the 20, 30, or 40 cartridges but I HAVE seen the prices! Don't be afraid of the quality, or the sound of this replacement. Also, Turntable Needles has always shipped everything very promptly.

SHIBATA NEEDLE

Totally worth the upgrade to this awesome needle. I have an older system and my Pro-Ject table is pretty basic. That being said the needle really tuned everything up. If you can afford this upgrade then go for it ! No remorse here.

Nice little jewel

I only played a few records with this Shibata stylus, it's sound nice and track better than the EVG black diamond i used to have.
