Bought this as a replacement fot the needle in my Dual 506 turntable...looks works and sounds exactly like the one that was in it before. They shipped fast, had it in Toronto in about a week. Will definitely be buying the rest of my needles from this place. Good prices.

resurrected a Dual 505 with the original Cart/Stylus. The JICO 542-DE sounds great. I resisted ordering the cheaper version available as I had read various opinions praising and recommending the JICO advising that better sound is achieved with the elliptical tipped needle. I am quite happy with it and the service from Turntableneedles.com. It and they gets five stars because I appreciate the upgrade being available for the old 505 original cartridge. P.S. Human Ears are analog devices ;)

I bought this for a Dual TKS 55E cart. Fits correctly, plays well. It won't look quite like the one pictured, it will be plain and without identification marks. I had bought a "golden E" stylus from ebay once before, only to be disappointed by a crooked shaft. I believe the one I purchased here is of a much better quality. Remember that a stylus "break in" period is required. I played mine for ten hours on a record I didn't like.

Perfect sound, no comparison with cheap and crappy "E" copy. Tested on Dual CS 714Q with 155E pickup. Just buy it and feel great sound. :)

I didn't want to replace the cart. and ruin the ultra low mass concept. After great success with a JICO stylus for an Ortofon VMS20, I decided to try one on my ULM cart. These styli are remarkable. The sound is full and vibrant but the best feature is that they play old records with much less surface noise. I don't know why they play so much better, but I don't think a new $200 Ortofon original stylus (if I could find one) could sound better.

This went on an old turntable that to tell the truth never wowed me even when it was new. Maybe it's my imagination, my ears aren't what they used to be and I don't even have all the good stereo pieces set up, but I'm not sure it doesn't sound better than when it was new. At the very worst it's a suitable replacement, and it might even be an improvement. Definitely 5 stars!

Like other reviews I put this on a Dual 1257 that has been stored away for about 30 years I am sorry to say. I received my order within a few days and had forgotten how good vinyl actually sounds compared to all the streamed and CD music I have listened to for too many hears. Great Service and product

My husband got an old record player from a friend and at the time it work fantastic. I on the other hand Not so record player savy lets say, being a good wife and cleaned the needle, thus breaking it. I searched everywhere until I happen to fall upon this site, I was so excited. I ordered the DN145E and 7 days later it was in my mailbox. The look on my husbands face was like a 5 year old at Christmas - PRICELESS.
