DTL-1 Type BLISS™ Stylus for Pickering TL-1 Cartridge etc

The 4-609-DE-tall stock number is a .3 x .7 elliptical aftermarket stylus for Pickering DTL-1E (aka 1DTL) etc. (see below). The 1E came in two interchangeable body styles which we call 'short' & 'tall'. Pictured above is the 1E tall version which cannot accept a brush attachment. The 1E,2E,3S,4S are all interchangeable among the respective cartridges. The difference is in the quality of the tip. The 1E is currently only available in an aftermarket version. NOTE: Because this needle is designed for use specifically with Pickering cartridges, it can be found in numerous brands of turntables. In some cases the cartridges for this needle may be original equipment supplied with a new turntable, but was more likely selected at time of sale to complete a turntable sold without a cartridge or later as an upgrade to the original cartridge supplied by the turntable manufacturer. This needle should be matched primarily to the cartridge type not necessarily the turntable.

I am very pleased with this stylus replacement for my Dual CS1246 turntable. I am looking forward to another 300 hours of music enjoyment before the next replacement. The price was right and works perfect. Very easy installation. I'm more than happy right now.

What's the first thing you do with a new vintage TT? Destroy the needle...

Picked up a vintage Pioneer PL-518 turntable to go with my SX-850 receiver. Played one side of one LP to test and tune, and on flipping the LP, I impacted the needle with the edge of the disc and bent it backward beyond repair. Went looking for a replacement and was having problems finding one. I had just about resigned myself to purchasing a new cartridge - until I landed here. One email with a photo to Kyle, and he solved my problem. The needles (I bought 2 just in case) arrived quickly, packing was very adequate to protect the needles, and installation was easy. Looks identical to original except for original factory markings. Sound quality is warm and excellent with true rendition, tracking is perfect and alignment is excellent. Thanks Kyle, I appreciate your assist and I'll be back for other parts to work on a couple old BSR tables from the '70s that I have from my youth.

Fast Delivery / Sounds Great

I found my old Technics turntable when cleaning out my parent's home. It needed a new stylus for the Pickering cartridge, and the grounding cable was missing. I found both replacements on this site, and they work great. I received my shipment within a week.

Kyle answered question promptly with my satisfaction. Ordered stylus on Aug 14, shipment to Canada made next day, also Kyle sent follow up email. Received on Sep 13, Stylus is carefully packed, all as described. Put it on JVC LA-11, works well. Highly recommend it.
