DTL-3S NOTES: Purchase of this product will net you a new old stock genuine pickering DTL-3S. See related products below for an aftermarket version -1E replacement. That looks totally different than above but will work except that the different shape will not allow it to accept an optional brush.
Replaces: PICKERING DTL-3S
Used In: TL-3 SUPER
NOTE: Because this needle is designed for use specifically with Pickering cartridges, it can be found in numerous brands of turntables. In some cases the cartridges for this needle may be original equipment supplied with a new turntable, but was more likely selected at time of sale to complete a turntable sold without a cartridge or later as an upgrade to the original cartridge supplied by the turntable manufacturer. This needle should be matched primarily to the cartridge type not necessarily the turntable.

Genuine Pickering DTL-3S NOS Stylus replacement
I was horrified at the bass response of my LPs after installing my new stylus, but after reading about the "break-in" for a new stylus, I was pleasantly surprised at the flawless playback later. Since I believe that pipe organ music with simultaneous very low base tones with very high frequencies makes a good test of your equipment. Absolutely no distortion that I could perceive with this stylus - same as my old/used one.
