At .4x.7mil, its rounded elliptical tip sweeps gently into the groove to stick exceptionally well while still allowing full range of back movements with the minimum groove wear possible in an elliptical offering. Hi-fi elliptical tips have fairly sharp corners making an almost rectangular entrance in the groove. The Diabolic's cut has gently rounded corners that help preserve your vinyl over time.
