Meets or exceeds OEM specs. Found in many types of equipment.

This belt is of recent manufacture. Original legacy belts no longer exist. If they did, they'd be too old to sell in good conscience. As far as we can tell, even if the manufacturer name was stamped on the belt, all belts supplied with original turntables were outsourced to a belt specialist manufacturer, like ours are today. Our belts are made using state-of-the-art vulcanization chemistry, forming highly crosslinked polymetric structures which ensure long-term elastic stability even under the harshest conditions.

Prior to installation of your new belt, the belt path should be cleaned. Here in the repair shop we would use common household rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) or a similar solution to clean the old, (often invisible) belt residue from the entire belt path, including the hub around the underside of the platter, so it doesn't contaminate the new belt. With the belt off, we would get the turntable into play condition and hold an alcohol soaked Q-tip on the side of the spinning belt motor pulley. It's amazing how much black contamination comes off from the old belt. See our belt installation page for related details.

Turntable Belt

Finally found a replacement belt for my 35-year-old turntable. It works like a charm again. It still provides a better sound quality than the digital stuff downloaded these days! Fast response - fit perfectly

I ordered a new belt for my Quadraflex, delivery only took a few days and I was able to clean up the old turntable and be ready for the installation in that time. Installation was a snap, installed the belt, used a toothpick to extend it around the drive pulley and everything was working in minutes. Great service and product.

Perfect Fit For 25-Year Old Turntable

I thought that I was out of luck (and would be looking for a new turntable) when I discovered that he belt on my LAB-600 had disintegrated. The excellent cross reference available on this site made it easy to find a replacement that I was certain would fit. In less than a week I was playing records again. The package also includes an alcohol swab for removing residue from the platter which is a nice touch.

A PERFECT BELT REPLACEMENT!

I needed a replacement belt for my Mitsubishi LT-90 that I recently purchased on ebay & this one fit the bill. The records sound much better with a brand new belt around the platter I can assure you. Lastly, if the cassette deck & receiver portion of the integrated system lasts, I just might get the new needle for it(here, where else?)

Turntable Belt

Bought belt for Akai AP420 turntable,cross ref. with Turntableneedles listed turntable/belt on web. Recommended belt was "small" but wider 0.25 inch/6.35mm medium belt seemed a beter fit,as existeg belt measured nominal 6mm. Web site very user friendly, communication from supplier excellent. Shipping "free". goods arrived in 9 days v est. 1-5 weeks. Pack included alcohol wipes to clean capstan/turntable drive belt path. Fitted great, works perfectly. Very happy customer.

The sound track of life

The turntable belt you sent worked GREAT!!! But more important was the info you gave me. After putting the belt in, I plugged the turntable into the front of my amp to check if my $5 yard sale turntable worked. At full blast the sound was a whisper. I was about to throw the Yamaha out and call it a loss. Then I called these guys and they said "It had to be plugged into the PHONO inlet." BINGO. I had a $300 TURNTABLE for $20 bucks. Thanks for everything. You guys are GREAT.

25.0 Inch Belt Review.

The 25.0 inch belt is probably a great belt in itself. As long as it's the exact replacement for the product purchased. However, this particular size was listed to be the original size for my Kenwood KD-39R turntable. But upon purchasing this one without me haveing the old original one on hand, it turned out to be an incorrect size. My rating for this would be inconclusive due to this fact.

Solved my problem

Didn't have a belt, but followed the how to measure the total length. They emailed me the product code that I required, ordered two so I would have a spare. The belt fitted perfectly. How cool that you can get these parts

So, the belt is great, but that is pretty meaningless since it is just a piece of rubber. The awesome thing is that I was able to get it. My turntable is decades old and very out of date. I assumed the parts would be unobtainable, until I found Turntable Needles. Not only was I able to find the parts, but by using their descriptions I was able to order the correct part on my first try. These guys are excellent. Buy lot's of stuff from them so that they stay in business FOREVER!

Drivebelt for Sony turntable

Worked well for the small time I have on the turntable. I was put off a bit on the ordering procedure but it worked out all right. I thought that there would be a specific belt for the model of turntable. I have only played a small number of records since getting the belt but it the drive belt is doing it's job correctly.

Delivery took 4 weeks via normal post. May be the holiday season caused this .... Quality of the goods is OK. The tool on the website to find the right type of belt for your specific turn table brand is very convenient. (I had a Kenwood P-7 and the flat belt medium fits as they promised!)

Surprised at excellent performance.

It is amazing that suppliers can offer such a high quality replacement belt for such an old turntable. It seems to fit well, and performs well. I would recommend that for any long period of use the belt be removed from the drive spindle and left wrapped around the platter. Also, that you keep track of old and new belts, because they can be mixed up (they look similar).

Sansui SR222 Mk2 Replacement Belt

The advice given from the website for this belt to fit this deck was correct. I had a problem when the belt was first fitted was with a loud rumbling noise. This turned out to be the speed selector fork requiring a small adjustment (easy to do). The noise then disappeared and the belt works perfectly. The original belt, having stretched, was not rubbing against this fork whilst the new belt, being wider, was. Until I made the adjustment I thought I had ordered the wrong belt!

Item good, packing good, delivery fast. It is a very valuable feature that there exists a shop where you can buy different spares for older music equipment, which work fine year after year, but suddenly make a break because of one small faulty part. A valuabe feature is also that you can look up after the right spare in a wide library, where you usually find the right spare also get it to the other side of the World.

Turntable belt

I ordered a turntable belt. After looking around I thought that this site offered the best deal. The shipping took a long time but that was due to the current mail delays. The belt worked perfectly and I now have another one of my turntables up and running. One more thing, I ordered from Canada and usually get stuck with a crazy high shipping cost when ordering from the US, even on small items. I was pleased when they sent it for free.
