As I was rebuilding my AV setup (which has a wide variety of technology from present-day to stuff from waaay back), I tested a tape deck I hadn't used in years. It didn't seem to function properly. Opening it up to see what might be wrong, I discovered that the drive belt had transmogrified into some organic goo wrapped around the playback motor (yuck). Unfortunately, this meant I could not determine the dimensions of the belt, and the service manual was useless. Luckily, I found this web site, and was able to look up the model of the deck, and discovered not only what the dimensions were, but they sold it as well! Yeah, maybe it's a bit pricey compared to other places (if there ARE any other places, that is), but who else has a good part lookup page, and actually stocks replacement parts for stuff that's over 40 years old?? Thanks, guys, I'm glad I found you--the new drive belt works great!

Turntable Needles cross refs FBM6.7 to Nakamichi OC80034. The Cassette Deck 2 service manual lists the capstan belt as 0C80034A. To my eyes, this belt is a tiny bit wider and fractionally thicker than the original. Pulled taut, they are the same length. Works great.

After an unsuccessful attempt to find a drive belt for an old Onkyo tape deck on eBay I stumbled upon TurntableNeedles.com that quickly delivered the correct size belt and got the tape deck back in business. I can now listen to my questionable music choices from the 1980’s again!

This belt was perfect for repairing an Onkyo TA-2600. Came with an alcohol wipe and was very reasonably priced with shipping. Solved the issue of the old belt disintegrating.

Turntableneedles got it right. I tried to use another supplier but they failed miserably. The other supplier sent two belts and neither was a size that would fit. Turntableneedles sent the correct size belt. I had to order multiple belts because the items were so inexpensive to cover shipping. Even then the total cost was less than the other supplier. It took me a little effort to do the installation. It was worth the effort. Now my vintage Onkyo 3 head cassette recorder is working again.
