  • Meets or exceeds OEM specs. Found in many types of equipment.
  • This belt is of recent manufacture. Original legacy belts no longer exist. If they did, they'd be too old to sell in good conscience. As far as we can tell, even if the manufacturer name was stamped on the belt, all belts supplied with original turntables were outsourced to a belt specialist manufacturer, like ours are today. Our belts are made using state-of-the-art vulcanization chemistry, forming highly crosslinked polymetric structures which ensure long-term elastic stability even under the harshest conditions.
  • Prior to installation of your new belt, the belt path should be cleaned. Here in the repair shop we would use common household rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) or a similar solution to clean the old, (often invisible) belt residue from the entire belt path, including the hub around the underside of the platter,so it doesn't contaminate the new belt. With the belt off, we would get the turntable into play condition and hold an alcohol soaked Q-tip on the side of the spinning belt motor pulley. It's amazing how much black contamination comes off from the old belt. See our belt installation page for related details.

    Replacement cassette player belts
I ordered a number of cassette tape player belts recently which allowed me to repair 3 machines that are now all up and running. I had no difficulty in placing the order, and received the goods much sooner than expected, thanks to your speedy dispatch, and the U.S. postal services. Thank you for providing 100 percent praise-worthy products and service. Kindest regards, J.T.

    Hooray for places like this
As I was rebuilding my AV setup (which has a wide variety of technology from present-day to stuff from waaay back), I tested a tape deck I hadn't used in years. It didn't seem to function properly. Opening it up to see what might be wrong, I discovered that the drive belt had transmogrified into some organic goo wrapped around the playback motor (yuck). Unfortunately, this meant I could not determine the dimensions of the belt, and the service manual was useless. Luckily, I found this web site, and was able to look up the model of the deck, and discovered not only what the dimensions were, but they sold it as well! Yeah, maybe it's a bit pricey compared to other places (if there ARE any other places, that is), but who else has a good part lookup page, and actually stocks replacement parts for stuff that's over 40 years old?? Thanks, guys, I'm glad I found you--the new drive belt works great!

    Nakamichi Cassette Deck 2
Turntable Needles cross refs FBM6.7 to Nakamichi OC80034. The Cassette Deck 2 service manual lists the capstan belt as 0C80034A. To my eyes, this belt is a tiny bit wider and fractionally thicker than the original. Pulled taut, they are the same length. Works great.

    Problem Solved
After an unsuccessful attempt to find a drive belt for an old Onkyo tape deck on eBay I stumbled upon TurntableNeedles.com that quickly delivered the correct size belt and got the tape deck back in business. I can now listen to my questionable music choices from the 1980’s again!
