This review is very much based on initial impressions as I just installed the MP-110H today. That said the upgrade from the AT95E was nothing short of jaw dropping. Also shocking was the fact that I installed it and was all prepared for align it using my protector, i found the alignment to be spot on out of the box! The improvement in sound quality was amazing. Like a cloud had lifted and the music went from flat to spacious and with much improved separation and dynamics. The head shell is very nice and has a high quality feel and presentation. The reviews you have no doubt read and watched are true, this little cart is a gem. I can't wait to here it after it fully breaks in. Very happy with purchase and the smooth purchase and shipping from Turntable Needles. The product was shipped with very good packaging.

Got this based on reviews and yes, it is excellent as far as detail, it plays great on old analog recordings. Give it 20 hrs for break -in. but keeps surface noise intact. great stuff.

Bought this to replace a stock cart for a Denom DP-300F turntable. Should have checked the factory head shell as it turned out to not be a straight replacement with the pre-mounted shell on this cart... but a quick swap into the Denon’s head shell and I was ready to go. If you have the same turntable, order the straight MP-110 instead. The sound is wide and detailed, with a richness that wasn’t present at all in the stock cartridge. An excellent cart for a big sound boost at a very reasonable price! Shipping was also fast and the kit was securely packaged. Thank you!

Could not wait to get this cart, anticipated and was not let down by the great sound. One reviewer described it as lifting a veil but to me more like taking the cotton out of the singers mouth. Wonderful and to me well worth the money. Very happy and easy easy set up.

I picked up this cartridge as an upgrade for my Fluance RT80 turntable and couldn't be happier. It does everything other reviews I read claimed it would do, and when I compared its performance to the Ortofon Blue during a "blind test" I truly couldn't tell a difference. I'm a percussionist of over 30 years, and I'd like to believe I have good enough ears to appreciate and hear what this cartridge can do. I'm about 3 hours into it, and I'm hearing nuances in the music of albums I normally listen to that I've not heard before. The sound is more open, and warmer. It's a well balanced cartridge, and brings out the mid-range in greater detail; this was greatly lacking in my first cartridge (Audio Technica AT-91). The bass has greater depth, and I can feel the vibration of the kick drum in my chest. The highs aren't too bright or sound tinny. I found the best tracking force to be 2.0 grams after listening to albums/songs at 1.7, 1.8, and 1.9. If you set up the cartridge properly you won't regret it. If it's not set up properly you'll miss out on what it truly can do.

If you're looking at this item, you likely already know how good Nagaoka cartridges are. Not only is it best in class with a warm sound and forgiving treatment of used/vintage vinyl, but quality/sound wise this 110 punches well above it's price point. The 110 is a considerable step up from the 100, and getting the pre-mount cartridge all in one with the handy storage case is well worth the money. Really great cart. Compares favorably with cartridges costing literally 10 times more. Highly recommended. Note: If you purchase this on ebay, you run the risk of having to pay import and customs duties on top of the cost of the item.

I purchased this to upgrade the stock cart on an AT LP-120. After using the Nagaoka for about a month and breaking it in, it sounds so great with every record I play on it! Huge difference in quality from the stock cart on the LP-120. If you have an entry level turntable and want to improve sound, this is the way to go.

The cartridge kit arrived early. I replaced my AT91R with the MP-110H and the difference in sound quality was immediately discernible. My Thiel CS1.5 loudspeakers responded to the Nagaoka with improved frequency response throughout the frequency range. The bass response improved so much that I was able to turn on the tone defeat on my NAD C326BEE running through a Cambridge Audio Azur DacMagic Plus! The original cartridge required significant bass boost in the lower end of the frequency response curve. By essentially flat lining the curve with the tone defeat on, my sound stage improved dramatically.

I bought the MP-110H Pre-mounted cartridge from Turntable Needles to replace a Shure V15 that was simply old and tired. It arrived with extremely well done packaging. After the usual fiddling to get the overhang correct and the arm height adjusted, I fired it up with some of my 50 year old Audio Fidelity records and some 40 year old direct to disk recordings from Sheffield. To my ear, the cartridge is extremely smooth and reproduces everything that I remember from these recordings. Some of the direct to disk records are very difficult for many cartridges to track, but the Nagaoka sailed through them without any difficulty. Some cartridges sound very "edgy" with this material, but not this one. I highly recommend this item.

Nagaoka MP-110 - terrific cartridge! After much research, I'm glad I landed on this one. Also, very fast shipping from! Especially considering the pandemic that was in full swing at the time of my purchase.
