Directly Replaces HC-800II - main difference is plastic rather glass bottles.

From Nagaoka:

"Dirty tape heads can cause poor sound recording and reproduction. And dirty pinch rollers and capstans can result in uneven tape speeds and broken tapes. However, clean heads and clean tape paths allow you to expect the widest range of sounds without loss from your tape deck. Clean heads also extend the lives of both the heads and the tape. ... KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN."

One bottle is a rubber cleaner/preservative agent. The other is a head cleaner agent; presumably an alcohol. Bottles are PLASTIC. Cotton swaps are industrial quality; tightly bound. Can be used for any type of audio tape machine by qualified personnel. Including but not necessarily limited to reel to reel, cassette tape and mini cassette tape playback and recording devices. Not for use on video heads.

Keeping your tape equipment?

I have used this item on two different tape decks(car and WM-D6C). The kit has two bottles one for head cleaning, the other for rubber parts. Neither smells of alcohol, more like a mild solvent. Also included are about a dozen double ended swabs, tightly wound but rather short. Seems to be quite an effective cleaning system, I can recommend if you plan to keep your tape equipment and tapes working.
