This is a replacement cartridge for many Magnavox turntables. It includes the metal bracket, as pictured, and a needle guard.
Please Note: This cartridge has round connector pins instead of flat as seen on the original magnavox "p-134" type pictured below which this cartridge is primarily designed to replace. This will require that person skilled at soldering to replace the old flat sockets will the new round sockets on the ends of each wire. As well, this cartridge has 4 pins instead of the 3 pins, so, the two center ground wires have to be carefully shunted together and connected to the single ground wire in the 3-wire wiring harness. We do not offer this service. It must be done locally and skillfully without soldering directly to the cartridge studs so as not to internally damage the cartridge. Four round sockets are include with purchase of this cartridge.
2018 UPDATE: There is now an option above where we modify the cartridge pins so that you can slide on the Magnavox sockets designed for flat pins without having to replace the sockets as described above. As well, during this process we have converted it for 3 wire operation so NO LOCAL TECH. will need to be hired as described above. You *may* have to squeeze your old flat sockets with pliers just a tiny bit if the fit is loose on our flat pins as they are a touch thinner than the old cartridge's flat pins. This should save you time, trouble, money and worry regarding finding a qualified local tech to perform a house call if you have a large floor model.
