Pfanstiehl P-226D Type Modern Turntable Phonograph Pickup

This is a modern hi-quality replacement.
Cartridge comes with an 864-SS77 type diamond needle assembly installed.
This is a flipover type needle. One side is Diamond for 33/45rpm. The flip side is sapphire, also for LP.
See P-187D cartridge in related products for 33/45rpm LP only single sided alternative.
(the only difference between P-187D and P-226D cartridges is the needle installed)

This is a stereo cartridge. It may play 78rpm records out of only one speaker. Press the 'mono' button on your stereo to have the mono signal come out of both speakers while playing 78rpm records.

Pfahnstiehl P-226D review

This was the only cartridge I found to fit a turntable I bought on Ebay. It was shipped very quickly, was exactly as described, was easy to install and worked perfectly. I am very satisfied with the cartridge and the service provided by the seller.

Pfanstiehl cartridge

I needed this item to replace an Astatic unit in a Jukebox. It worked perfectly, and installed more easily than many others I have used in the past. Your delivery schedule is second to nobody, and ease of ordering likewise. I'm glad to have found you.

Ceramic Cartridge

Tuntable Needles went out of their way to help me with repairing my old circa 1970's stereo system. After I purchased a needle and found that not to be the problem. They suggested the next cheapest item to try. They helped me select the proper Ceramic Cartridge and e mailed me instructions on how to install it. I am not good with wires, but their graphic instruction did the job. I highly recommend them. They went out of their way to help me, that is hard to find on internet sales. They care.

Cartridge

Cart was originally mis-delivered by local USPO. They corrected the next day. As for the cart itself, it was a 30-second drop-in fix and I have a happy customer.

Pfanstiehl P-226D

Worked great replacing a broken cartridge in a GE Wildcat player. The needle that came with it didn't last, the diamond fell out after one or two plays. Had a spare so good to go.

new cartridge and needle

Kyle in the tech dept was most helpful ---- he knew we needed more than a needle. We needed the whole cartridge. He was right! Our turntable is so old that the cartridge had to be trimmed to fit ---- but it works. I called several times and calls were promptly returned.

Good service

Sent in a picture and they sent the right part. Ateast it works so seems like it is. Said it would take longer to do it that way but it was still less than a week. Would order again

Sanyo DXT 5240 replacement

Terrific! This fits a Sanyo DXT 5240. The sound is great. The only downside was that it did not come with a screw to attach the cartridge to the housing on the phonograph arm. The attachment screw on the original cartridge was too large, so I had to search the local hardware store for a new screw, which took some work. Still, I was glad to find the correct cartridge/stylus at Turntable Needles, because I was was having great difficulty finding it elsewhere. If it wasn't for the attachment screw I would have rated the product 5 stars.

Needle Cartridge

It works, sound quality improved a lot comparing to the old cartridge and stylus. Installed on to an 40 year old Sanyo GTX 4612-k, good fit but the removable plastic part that defines the angle of the cartdridge has a hole to fix it to the headshell and it doesn´t have a thread for the screw. I had to use the old part that doesn´t fit 100% but good enough to get a great performance. Recommended

turntable needles will know what you need

The ceramic cartridge was a perfect fit for my 53 year old Dual turntable. I had to replace a more modern cartridge, which didn't supply the correct volume level. The "modern" cartridge was sold to me by a far less knowledgeable supplier and at a higher price!

This SAVED my 1958 Motorola Console!

My 1958 Motorola (mono) phonograph (turntable built by VM) was still equipped with its original Electrovoice Power Point cartridge which was worn, and unable to play stereo LPs. After a month of trying different NOS solutions, I contacted Turntable Needled, who I already do business with, for advice. It was recommended that I try the reproduction Pfansteil P-223, which I did - and WOW what a clean, rich sound this thing produces!!! I sometimes swear I’m listening to a CD while playing some of my better-quality records!! Thanks!!
