I use a VPI Scout that I have modded extensively and a heavy steel flywheel driven by 2 Origin Live motor systems. Getting everything with just the right distance and tension is the trick to getting fantastic speed control. I tried several thicknesses and found the fat is best for me. Recently I started to convert an old 8mm film the old fashion way, project on a screen and record digitally. After I did a couple of test runs, I started recording. That's when the projector stopped. Taking off the cover, I find that the belt had broken. Not surprising since it was over 50 years old in this Montgomery Ward's Adams projector. Searching the internet I came across Turntables and Needles and found this projector listed. Upon receiving the belt, I was able to install it and get all the parts back together.
