BLACK Painted Aluminum S-arm headshell

Made of high quality aluminum, this headshell that is an Excellent upgrade over the most popular and universal headshell we sell. Generally it will fit any turntable with a 'S' (SME/JEI type)shaped tonearm. It requires an empty socket at the front end of the tonearm.
The socket must be .300 inches in diameter, have a notch in the top for the headshell alignment pin and have four contact in the socket in a square pattern as well as a rotating locking on the tonearm to hold this headshell in place.

If you have a single set screw on the tonearm that holds a headshell in place, then this is not the headshell for you.

S shaped Turntable Headshell-Black

The headshell is well made but has a logo on it which is not a wanted feature. It fit well onto the tonearm. The wires to attach to the cartridge are far too stiff and want to revert to a straight wire when you try to bend them. That makes it extremely difficult to adjust the position of the cartridge on the headshell as the wires (X4) keep trying to straighten out and thus move the cartridge out of position. If I had three hands, this wouldn't have been a problem. The price is good.

TN Headshell

Headshell is nice and light but sturdy. Wires a little stiff and the ends aren't as neat as the picture suggests. Lots of solder between the wires and clips. Sonicaly it's sounds good, don't have any thing else to compare it to.

Great replacement

When the wiring went in the old headshell, I replaced the whole thing rather than try and replace just the wires. This is a great upgrade to the original.

4602-Black-blemish S shaped Turntable Headshell-Black SME SFPCC31001K- I bought this and it works great on my MCS 6700. I aligned it to a print out schematic from the web. It is pretty heavy so make sure to re-adjust counterbalance before playing any vinyl. I actually kind of like the weight of it though and after I adjusted the weight I was rocking out to Radiohead's OKNOTOK vinyl.

Headshell

I bought this headshell as I was having difficulty in getting a genuine Technics headshell for my technics S-1200G turntable. The headshell appears to be well made and cleanly finished. It fits my turntable and is well matched to the original Technics head. I have not yet fitted and aligned a cartridge. My only complaint is that it has a " T-TN.com " engraved in a prominent position on the headshell - I would have liked the top of the headshell to be clean and just black.
