The VN5P is for the Pmount version of the V15v series, the V15 Type VP. In these desperate times, it will work just fine in any standard mount v15 type 5, except of course that it won't have the brush guard.
NOTE: Because this needle is designed for use specifically with SHURE cartridges, it can be found in numerous brands of turntables. In some cases the cartridges for this needle may be original equipment supplied with a new turntable, but was also likely to have been selected at time of sale to complete a turntable sold without a cartridge or later as an upgrade to the original cartridge supplied by the turntable manufacturer. **Pfanstiehl call this a Linear Tracking needle because it is intended for the Shure V15VP, a Pmount cartridge which is intended to be uses on Pmount tonearms which are almost always found on linear tracking turntables.
