If your Xbox has a Philips/BenQ or LiteOn drive you should be able to replace belt from the front panel and thus avoid opening entire box. Our tech-approved n used belt hook tool may be of great help as well. You never want to use pliers or tweezers to hook the belt into place.

This belt is of recent manufacture. Our belts are made using state-of-the-art vulcanization chemistry, forming highly cross-linked polymetric structures which ensure long-term elastic stability even under the harshest conditions. Prior to installation of your new belt, the belt path should be cleaned. Here in the repair shop we would use common household rubbing alcohol (isopropyl) or a similar solution to clean the old, (often invisible) belt residue from the entire belt path, including the hub around the underside of the platter, so it doesn't contaminate the new belt. With the belt off, we would get the turntable into play condition and hold an alcohol soaked Q-tip on the side of the spinning belt motor pulley. It's amazing how much black contamination comes off from the old belt. See our belt installation page for related details.

Sony turntable

The linear drive arm on my Sony PS LX55 turntable was sticking. Found info about turntableneedles website and ordered a couple of 2.6 in x 1.3 mm thick belts. Replaced old belt and everything now works flawlessly. Great service, great site!

For my restored Sony PS-LX520 Linear treacking turntable. Perfect fit and fast service. Thanks. It drives the tracking arm in steps. All the cleaning and lubricating didn't do it - replacing this little belt did the trick. Had to have my girl friend use her smaller fingers to install it - that hurt, smile!

Perfect replacement!

This belt perfectly replaced the original belt in my Sony PS-LX500 which was no longer tracking properly. The original wasn't broken, but had loosened over time causing slip of the motor. The replacement belt did the trick, they seem as good quality as any, and arrived extremely quickly in the mail. I couldn't ask for anything better!

turntable belts

I ordered a replacement belt for my ancient sony linear tracking turntable, I needed the small belt for the arm movement so it was very rare. Turntable Needles sent the perfect modern replacement belt for it and it works great now! Thanks!

Works as advertized

This little belt seemed to be a bit small compared to the original (which I realize stretched some) and was a tight fit on the Sony PS-FL7II arm drive mechanism. I was concerned that it might be a bit too tight, but it seems to be working fine. Price was right as was the shipping (free!).

Rubber Drive Belt for Sony Turntable

Better than OEM!

The tracking arm on my Sony PS-LX520 turntable wasn't working. Doing some online research, I found the most common problem was a worn out belt. The new belt was less than $10, shipped quickly, and was easy to install. I noticed it was slightly thicker than the original belt I was replacing. The belt fit perfectly, and the tracking arm works just like it should. I'm very happy with my purchase and will definitely order from Turntable needles.com again, thank you!

Had issues, as so many have, with the aging belt on my Sony linear track TT, and this fixed it perfectly. After replacing it and giving the rails a good wipe/cleaning, back to flawless vinyl playing.....

Adequate

There is not much you can say about a belt. It was properly described, fits the unit for which it was purchased, and works fine. Durability remains to be seen. Shipping was fast. I would say that the ordering process needs improvement in that it was not immediately clear a minimum order was required for shipping qualification.
