DN155E Type Needle for ORTOFON TKS-55E & DUAL ULM55E

NOTE this caution only applies to genuine Ortofon DN155E which may or may not be an available option above.  Aftermarket 542 needles no longer have this internal key and so are all interchangeable to reduce customer frustration/confusion.
CAUTION: Like the 542 DEZ 'sister' product, the internal plastic structure on this 542-DEV / DN155E is "keyed" on the right as viewed from the square opening at the back of the plastic housing (knob) or it could also be described as a tine located on the inner sidewall closest to the center of the record. This tells us that this DN155E will NOT fit on any other cartridges other than the TKS55E & ULM55E cartridges.

Great Stylus!
I had always used OEM styli on my Dual 1264 with ULM tonearm, except one time I decided to give the "E" brand a try. That one was terrible, so I paid up and found another OEM. Now that OEM styli are almost impossible to find, and expensive, I decided to give one of these a try. After at least 12 hours of listening, everything sounds great and a vast improvement over the OEM stylus that was well worn. I will be back!

DN155E Type Stylus for Dual 1257
This stylus was plug and play with a dual 1257 that has been in my family for about 40 years. Removal of the Ortofon cartridge/stylus was a little tough - looks like it was adhered/glued into place at manufacture. Used a small screw driver to break the bond - be careful! The replacement did fit perfectly and it sounds better than it has in years.
