Tetrad-Zenith TZ1D Type Needle
NOTE: The TZ1D part has been labeled on at least two different sizes of needles. Pay special attention to the distance between the rubber boot and the cross ("T") handle. The S854-TD had a universal sized tip for all record speeds which is basically a compromised fit to the groove of the record for any speed which is no longer considered an acceptable option, so it is no longer made.
If the gap distance between the rubber "boot" and the cross ("T") handle is about 0.157 inches/ 4.0mm as pictured above, then it is replaced by our >>> S-856 <<< needle. If the distance is closer to about .100 inches/ 2.5mm (picture not available at press time) then you would need the >>> O-855-D7 <<<. Both of these replacements will have a 0.7mil conical tip for LPs only, not for 78RPM.
