This LMH-1 (Low Mass Headshell) will fit *some* turntables with a 'Straight' shaped tonearm. It requires a socket that is 0.320 inches in diameter, has four pins in the socket, and a single (TOP or SIDE) thumb screw on the tonearm that holds the headshell in place. While its socket is of the same type usually found in Japanese Imports like JVC, Sansui, Kenwood, and including ADC; In many turntables, this shell *may* be too short to achieve absolute correct cartridge alignment in which case you would need the longer straightHS-2 (below). There is no database to indicate whether this headshell or the longer one below is exactly correct in all cases. Based on general end-user reports, either shell allows for proper cartridge alignment in most tables with most cartridges; however YMMV. There are 1000s of possible combinations so if you want to align your cartridge close to perfection, proceed with caution and patience. That all being said, we hold it as still very possible that this shell length may only be technically correct for ADC and not other brands. If you don't have an ADC player, then we recommend the longer straightHS-2 (below). We welcome any legacy literature you may have that would clarify this.

Does not include thumbscrew but if yours is missing the headshell holds itself in place well enough in most cases YMMV.
Even though this shell has a flat spot on the top, it will indeed fit in the few JVC and Yamaha models that have a side mount set screw.
Not intended for linear tracking turntables.
