The Audio-Technica AT-F3/III Moving Coil Cartridge

provides Excellent all round performance for those seeking an entry level moving coil cartridge. Featuring a dual coil design and Nude elliptical stylus 0.2 x 1.7 mil the AT-F3/III comes finished in a stylish silver housing.

• The Nude elliptical stylus 0.2 x 1.7 mil has two radii, the front radius being wider than the side radius. This allows the stylus to ride in the centre of the groove, while the smaller side radius can more accurately track higher frequencies.

• The F3 features a dual coil design which ensures clarity of sound and improved frequency response.

•

Note: Moving coil cartridges require receivers or preamps with compatible inputs; their stylus assemblies are not field-replaceable.

A lot of cartridge for a little money!
The AT-F3 has been around for 3 generations now. This is the Mk III version with lower compliance (tracks at 2 grams). Sounds best with the tail of the arm up about 1mm higher than the headshell. Has a traditional AT MC sound, very open and airy. Sports a NUDE .2 x .7 bi-radial stylus. Lots of detail to be had. For the price, if your phono stage can handle a LOMC, it is indeed better than the DL-110.

The Audio-Technica AT-F3/III Moving Coil Cartridge
This is a great sounding cart for the money. I have an AT440MLA, AT7V, and a slew of vintage AT carts with new styli. I enjoy them all for different reasons, but, the F3 is the one I keep coming back to. It sounds musical, channel balance sounds way better than the specs, highs are sweet, bass full, detail good at this price. I listen to this cart for longer periods with less fatigue. Very enjoyable!
