This is a genuine Acutex International "Standard-series" M207IIE replacement stylus for 16, 33 & 45rpm, not for 78rpm. This needle can also be used in the M210IIE cartridge as a less expensive stylus replacement option or in the M206IIE as an upgrade from a conical tip to an elliptical tip. This allows a nice fidelity upgrade without the hassle of having the replace the entire cartridge.

Stylus tip: Bonded elliptical diamond. .3 x .7
CAUTION!! Acutex made 2 completely different cartridge body styles and did NOT change the model numbers!! This needle is for the "LPM" cartridge body style. Be careful not to confuse it with "M" style needles which look like this .

"All the Acutex pickups used a propriety variant of the MM system the company called "Tri-Induced Magnet System", it's unclear what difference, if any, was/is between this system and a normal MM but the company claimed the best channel separation in the business. The range started with the M110E that featured a simple "line contact" stylus (actually a elliptical variant), slightly more expensive was the M210 IIE and the M310 IIE, those 2 had an elliptical stylii and all three above carts had the same frequency range or 20Hz to 22KHz. The updated M310 IIIE model does not appear to have replaced the IIE model in the catalogue but rather augmented it, it uses the same stylus as the IIE but has an improved frequency response of 20Hz to 25KHz. The top range of pickps from the company all featured Shibata STR line contact stylii, the cheapest one was the M312 IIISTR, then came the M315 IIISTR that had a quoted frequency range of 20Hz to 40KHz but I have not been able to find the specs for the top of the line M320 IIISTR model."

Friendly staff
I had a very good experience overall. I wasn't sure about the exact stylus I needed. The staff helped me through it-choosing the right one. The shipment came in time - in fact early. Overall, I had an excellent experience shopping.

Acutex M-207 Stylus
I have a Sony Turntable, The Manufacture had a Sony Cartridge listed in the replacement specifications. I ordered the one listed and it did not work. When looking for the correct stylus, I came across your website that specified that I double check the cartridge at the end of the Arm. In doing this I learned I had a Acutex Cartridge, and finding the correct cartridge was easy. I Ordered the stylus and within a week I was listening to Music. I will order a spare stylus shortly.
