Shibata Type Upgrade Needle for Pickering XV-15 Series

Currently shipping aftermarket BLISS™ copy. OEM Pickering D1200e is obsolete. Pickering is out of business.

Replaces: PICKERING D1200E D1800E D757S etc.
Used In: XV-15/1200E XV-15/1800E DCF1200 DCF1800 etc.
Equivalent to these other universal replacement #'s: Found in numerous brands.
NOTE: Because this needle is designed for use specifically with Pickering cartridges, it can be found in numerous brands of turntables. In some cases the cartridges for this needle may be original equipment supplied with a new turntable, but was more likely selected at time of sale to complete a turntable sold without a cartridge or later as an upgrade to the original cartridge supplied by the turntable manufacturer. This needle should be matched primarily to the cartridge type not necessarily the turntable.

I can't say what these carts originally sounded like, but I can tell you that with this stylus installed, an old Pickering that I got at a garage sale for $30 is sounding like a high-end modern MM cart. Very pleased.

Spendy but ideal for an XV-15

I moved an XV-15 from an old Dual turntable to a new Pro-Ject Debut Carbon. I took a chance on the Shibata stylus and I'm glad I did. The results are frankly amazing. It's possibly the best sounding MM setup I've heard.
