Upgrade your 2"/50mm cup housing headphones to better than new sturdiness with our all metal headset. If your Grado etc brand headphones have broken or failing plastic parts, our pre-assembled kit will renew your headphones with high quality metal components where they are needed the most. When your retrofit kit arrives simply unclip the old gimble holders from your cup bodies and clip the new ones in place paying special attention to keep the left and right channel on each correct side. We include a hex key so you can replace the headband as needed.

STEPS:

1) Remove old earpads.

2) Working from the now exposed earpad side of the cup housing. Grip one side of the old gimble "fork" firmly to "stretch" it wider so as to unhook the hinge pin from your speaker cup housing.

3) Unhinge the remaining pin on the opposite side.

3) Hook one screw of new metal gimble fork into one of the now empty holes in the side of the speaker cup housing.

4) Firmly grip the hinge screw area on the other side of the gimble fork and "stretch" it a bit wider to clip it into remaining hinge hole on the opposite side of the housing.

5) Install earpads.
