this is NOT  232076 (aka # "232 076" )

At a great cost savings, many have had success using the round belt substitution. No modification to your player needed; simply install around the two pulleys just as if it was the gear belt. The torque needed in this system is quite low so there is no need to have a toothed/gear arrangement.

Dual 505-2 pitch belt
I decided to resurrect my old Dual 505-2 turntable, and being unable to source anything at a reasonable price here in the UK, I found this site. The item which is the pitch control belt arrived in reasonable time. It was a cinch to fit and does the job. A bit pricey for what it is, but as supplies seem limited no choice really.

Extremely hard to find these
The pitch belt on my Dual CS-528 has probably been broken for a couple of decades or longer until recently when I decided to fix it up. I couldn't find anyone that had these in stock until I found TurntableNeedles.com. I ordered this pitch belt and it fit perfectly. It was easy to install without stressing the belt too much and works great! The strobe mechanism shows a very steady rotation at 33rpm and 45rpm / 60 Hz.

pitch control works again

belt size not for CS 1242
The part number matches service manual for CS 1242,but is too large. Actual inside circumference needs to be closer to 4.5" I don't mind keeping the belt, will find use for it down the road. Ended up using 3 small square belts for replacement
