You will receive a genuine Audio Technica ATXN5 "COMPASS Series" needle as pictured above.

This needle can be used as a HiFi alternate to the ATP-N2 Found on the ATP-2 cartridge in the AT-PL120 turntable and many others. This will provide lighter tracking than the ATP "Professional Series" often used for DJ purposes.

Replacement needle 205-DET

I recently purchased the ATXN5 Compass stylus as a replacement on an ATP-2 cartridge which came on the AT-PL120 turntable. I had a little trouble getting it on the cartridge (not knowing how much pressure to use). I finally got it on and it has worked great. I am using it with a 1.6 gm. t.f. This is much better for the records since my original stylus required about 3 gm. t.f. The sound is terrific and I'm making some great l.p. to c.d. transfers.

205-DET

This stylus replaces the heavy DJ one that comes with the ATP-2 cartridge. This one tracks at 1.75 instead of 3.0 to 5.0 grams that the DJ stylus must be set. I listened to many carts, and I think the ATP-2 is the best. It is crisp, but, not sharp, and of course AT has discontinued it!!
