Elliptical needles have more efficient contact with the surface of the record than a conical tip.
Original needle color is usually: LIGHT GREEN
• NOTE: Because this needle is designed for use specifically with SHURE cartridges, it can be found in numerous brands of turntables. In some cases the cartridges for this needle may be original equipment supplied with a new turntable, but was also likely to have been selected at time of sale to complete a turntable sold without a cartridge or later as an upgrade to the original cartridge supplied by the turntable manufacturer. This needle should be matched primarily to the SHURE cartridge type not necessarily the turntable.

Great Needle/Great Service

The needle arrived very quickly after I ordered it and is an exact replacement for the old one. The sound is as good as it was when the turntable was new, better than I'd hoped for, and great for playing records that aren't quite good enough for my other turntable. I was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the reproduced sound.

Budget replacement for OEM Shure M93E. Great performance on my vintage Garrard SLX-3 turntable. Nice upgrade from OEM stylus. Enjoying my classic 60's albums just like the good old days! Great $$ value and quickly delivered. Thank You!

Turntable needle

I am happy with my purchase. It works well, as expected. The service from Turntable Needles was above and beyond. When I said the first needle the send was not working properly, they immediately sent another and said to send the first ones back. I will recommend Turntable Needles whenever I can.

Direct replacement for Sure 2225 stylus

It's a perfect fit replacement for the Shure 2225 stylus that was on my 2215 cartidge.It is a very good sounding improvement to the old stylus and the service was excellent and very professional!Wouldn't hesitate to buy again from Turntable Needles .com!
