N-59 Type Stylus for Kenwood KD-74F Programmable Turntable etc.

The Kenwood logic controlled turntables in which this needle is found are equipped with an "electronic eye" that sees the blank area on the record between sound tracks. Consequently, the cartridge cannot be changed because the sensor is built into the cartridge/headshell. This needle is designed only for this type of setup. Sadly, this stylus was only ever produced as a conical offering which is now considered "entry-level". Fortunately, however the cartridge itself, is of high quality and so is very capable of delivering much greater sound quality than what is possible with the 1980s spherical OEM N-58 or N-59 spherical stylus. This is why we are very pleased to now also offer, for your consideration, the elliptical 7745-DE stylus in the related products section below to bring your player up to 21st century standards for clearer, crisper sound and less wear n tear over time.

Needle

Just what I needed to get the vintage turntable up and running. Arrived faster than expected and in a great protective case. Works perfectly. Should have picked up two so I have a back up.
