Audio Technica Technicraft 4000

Got ahold of a Technicraft 3000 cart. on a AR XA and decided to upgrade to the line contact TC4000. The 4000 has MUCH less surface noise and great imaging. It would easily beat any cartridge under $500. I prefer the vintage AT carts, they sound fuller and more natural. This cart/stylus has extended highs and the deepest lows I've heard on my Thorens TD 145 MKII. It's a somewhat rare cartridge and I was happily surprised to find NOS! Highly recommended!!

Technicraft tcn4000

Technicraft TC4000

What can I say? Have been using this cartridge almost exclusively since 1980! It`s right there with all Audio Technica`s classic line contact styli. If you have a vintage Low Mass tonearm - this is your solution to happiness. Get yourself a Technicraft body and mount a TCN4000 stylus. High Compliance Perfection! Also, Kudos to Turntableneedles.com for the great service and providing me the opportunity to maintain my lifetime supply of the Technicraft!
