Use this needle to provide a high end yet affordable hyperelliptical solution for any needle on our website that starts with 108 109 110 111 113 114 or 115

"DHE" =Diamond HyperElliptical Polished, Bonded tip

Original needle color is usually: BLACK
Replaces: RSZ RZL RXL RVL etc.
Used in: ZLM XLM VLM etc. cartridges by ADC

NOTE: Because this needle is designed for use specifically with ADC cartridges, it can be found in numerous brands of turntables. In some cases the cartridges for this needle may be original equipment supplied with a new turntable, but was more likely selected at time of sale to complete a turntable sold without a cartridge or later as an upgrade to the original cartridge supplied by the turntable manufacturer. This needle should be matched primarily to the cartridge type not necessarily the turntable.

I was actually going to return this item, because it said "Jico" on the website, and the ADC stylus on Jico's website states a Shibata stylus, not a hyperelliptical one. But, after thinking about it, I thought I might as well try it first, and the sonic improvement it made on my ADC Integra cartridge made me no longer care whether that was misinformation or not. It was a huge improvement in smoothness and clarity over my Pfanstiehl elliptical stylus.

Test review

Perfect fit on to cartridge, sounds & performs well with less than 1gm. tracking force. No skips or jumps on initial record contact. Good when checked on scope for short burst waveforms. Only unknown is stylus life. Give it a 9.5 out of 10 for now.

Can't vouch for it

Somebody might have messed this needle up while I wasn't in the room—but barring that, it needed to be replaced after only six weeks of intermittent use. Maybe it was a defect, but I didn't want to spend the money to find out. So I guess I'm just here to cast vague, probably irresponsible aspersions on the stylus life and say it certainly wasn't worth the money, at least not in my opinion. And if it was my fault, then I say it was too fragile!
