Used In: M91E M91G M92E(pre 1976 standard mount *not* T4P late model M92E exclusively for linear tracking players) hi-track M92G
Original needle color is usually: BLACK or GRAY
NOTE: Because this needle is designed for use specifically with SHURE cartridges, it can be found in numerous brands of turntables. In some cases the cartridges for this needle may be original equipment supplied with a new turntable, but was also likely to have been selected at time of sale to complete a turntable sold without a cartridge or later as an upgrade to the original cartridge supplied by the turntable manufacturer. This needle should be matched primarily to the SHURE cartridge type not necessarily the turntable.

Great needle!

I used this as a replacement stylus for a Realistic cartridge as prescribed by the site. It sounds better than the original needle! Lots of detail in the music. Couldn't be happier.

M91E replacement stylus

Was looking for an inexpensive stylus to re-hab a Sony 5520 TT with Shure M91E cartridge. This item has proven to be an ideal replacment. Tone arm gage set to 0.75 gr. and it tracks perfectly with great sound playing some 45 yr. old records. Highly recommend this item.

Good sounds!

Just as advertised--sounds great on my Dual 1229. Can't afford the SAS right now, but this is JICO needle is doing just fine right now!

Bliss 761-DE

Nice thin cantilever with tension wire. I've tried several aftermarket styli for my M-91 including the cheap Pfanstiehl, original high track, hyper-elliptical, and the Jico SAS. This one sounds most like the original Shure High Track. Highly recommended, especially for the price. Tracking at 1.75 on Miracord 10H.

Making marvelous music

I have had a stylus-less M91e kicking around for years. I recently overhauled an H/K-Rabco ST-7, and with its light arm, figured the Shure would be a good choice. After ordering this stylus and just fitting it, boy was I right! Mr. Hampton sounds fantastic! This is the first new stylus I've ever bought, but it won't be the last. The lack of surface noise is a very pleasant shock. I will be budgeting for more excellent styli from Steve's vast selection. Very happy!

Reliable delivery

I've purchased from these guys a couple of times over the last few years and always get quick delivery to Australia. Needles have good sound quality too! Not sure if they can be made more robust so I don't damage it when removing fluff.

Shure HI-TRACK N91 STYLUS

I was concerned I wouldn't be able to find a reasonably priced replacement for this needle. Turntable was used and my record collection had been gathering dust for about 20 years. Great to find Turntable Needles.com online and even better when the item I ordered although out of stock was soon delivered. Thank you! I will pass your name to other aging vinylists.
