The 609-DE-flat stock number is a Pickering DTL-1E flat version, capable of accepting an optional brush. The 1E came in two interchangeable body styles which we call 'flat' & 'wide'. Pictured above is the 1E 'flat'. The 1E,2E,3S,4S are all interchangable among the respective cartridges. The difference is in the quality of the tip.
