MMC4 Type Cartridge for Bang & Olufsen & Soundsmith

We now offer this newly manufactured MMC4 phono cartridge type SMMC4 for these B & O MMC cartridges:

MMC1 (top of the line)
MMC2
MMC3
MMC4 (this one)
MMC5 (entry level, nla)

B & O made a proprietary mounting system for their cartridges to fit in their tonearms so you cannot install other cartridge brands in B & O tables.
This cartridge is of modern ALL NEW manufacture by highly skilled professionals with over 3 decades of experience on the original B & O equipment. NOT REMANUFACTURED, NOT New Old Stock.

The MMC4 is a functional replacement for the MMC1 MMC2 MMC3 and MMC5 (MMC1 was top of the line, MMC5 was bottom of the line.) The needle on your existing cartridge is not user replaceable and would require that you mail it in to a retipping vendor at about 2/3 the cost of a new cartridge and wait weeks.

This wonderful cartridge will work in any of the following Bang & Olufsen models:

My MMC1 IS still repairable,But I have a mmc4 on the way Love my Beogram TX.But for $200.20 I WILL NOW HAVE 2 Cartridges if and when I do the repair on my MMC1. WILL Let you know if I DETECT A wide range (by my ear) TBC...

MMC4 phno cartridge

Delivered promptly. Seems to work as well as the original cartridge. Good to hear the sonic range on recordings that haven't been compressed to fit CD and other electronic size limits.

B&O MMC4 cartridge review

Have received two replacement B&O cartridges. Have installed one and it sounds incredible. Bass and high frequencies are smooth, crystal clear and everything sounds effortless. Channel separation the best I have ever heard. Amazing way to rejuvenate an old B&O turntable. Well worth the expense. Will be interesting to replace the old B&O MMC5 cartridge and see if I can detect any difference to the new MMC4.

MMC4 phono cartridge

After doing some extensive on-line research on the replacement cartridges for B & O RX-2 tables, I purchased this manufactured model from T. N. The cost was competitive w/ the used cartridges I found, and many of those were of questionable shape, sold in "as is" condition, i.e., w/no guarantee. My friend Chuck, a hi fi scientist, suggested I invest in this MMC4 manufactured replacement. Now the RX-2 has two channels of sound. This cart may be as good a replacement as you'll find.

Great cartridge, super fast shipping, and much less expensive than other alternatives. The vinyl sounds sooooo much better! My audio dealer/repair specialist recommended TurntableNeedles and glad he did.

RX playing like new

Thank you for your excellent service. My B&O has been having difficulty with the left channel for a while now. The new cartridge was an easy install and soundwise wise, an improvement over the MM5 it replaced.

Stylus Review

The quality is apparent when it arrives. Customs boxes, each one hand numbered on the back for tracking. You just don't see care like this any longer. My B&O is back in shape and I am enjoying writing my Christmas cards to some great oldies. I hope you are around for a long time.

Exactly what was needed

My family has had the same record play my whole life and every 10 years or so it needs a new needle. Order arrived quickly and got our player up and running again. slight downgrade from the MMC2 we had before, but the sound is still very good.

Cartridge arrived quickly and well packaged. The cartridge is as expected. Easy to install. Have used it few time since receiving and sounds fine, no issues. Bought to replace a same, older MMC4 cartridge.

MMC 4 cartridge

The price seemed a little steep, but then some prices I saw were higher. The shipment arrived quickly which was great and the cartridge works just fine. This is the first time sense 1997 that the turntable has been used. Good product.
