After exhaustively researching upgrade cartridges for my recently acquired Denon DF-300F turntable (that came with the OEM cartirdge), and reviewing many audio comparisons on Youtube, I determined that the Nagoaka MP-150 was the best possible balance of cost, quality, and fidelity. It is not an inexpensive cartridge by any means (at more than twice the used cost of the turntable it would be installed on), however it proved to be worth every penny. Before and after recordings revealed that my research was correct - the MP-150 is highly adept at providing clear, detailed highs, musical mids, tight extended lows, and increased overall output. Friends and family who compared the before and after recordings and subsequently enjoy the in-room experience have been shocked by how good it sounds. For me it has been like taking cotton balls out of my ears which was somewhat surprising, despite despite that my research suggested that would be the case, because the OEM Denon cartridge is well regarded at its price point from what I found. Additionally, the team at turntableneedles.com were very easy to interact with and they followed through with a quality product at a reasonable price. They were even able to ship quickly during the early days of a global pandemic. I am impressed and will return.

Great sounding cartridge have played about 10 albums so far and love it. Will be upgrading to the MP 200 when I wear out the stylus. Also great customer service.

Previously had a Denon DL-110, which gave me great bottom end and nice detail. Had it since 2010 and finally decided to replace it with the MP-150H. Note that the factory set overhang is shorter than the 52 mm needed for a Technics 1200mk7. When I first purchased the DL-110, I didn’t have the sound system I have now; a McIntosh MC-275 mkvi pushing a pair of Klipsch Cornwall IIIs. Without my having noticed it, the refinement of the DL-110 was completely gone by the time I got this system together. When I first put on the MP-150, the system really came to life. The stereo imaging and soundstage showed me what I was missing over the last 5 months. The level of detail was like nothing I had previously heard; highs were well detailed but not overly bright and the low end was focused and rich. Overall really happy with the purchase.

Nice rich clear sound. Very accurate and equally sturdy sound. Product construction is perfect, shipping was as expected. Very pleased all around.
